In this video, we’re going to show you how to transform your boring, outdated system into a fully customized anime-themed desktop that looks absolutely insane.
We spent countless hours searching the entire internet, testing tools, writing code, and tweaking everything to put together the perfect anime setup for you. This isn’t one of those basic setups where you just change the wallpaper and call it a day. No — we’re talking full transformation: desktop and apps — everything styled to match and flow together perfectly.
We’ll be using 6 hand-picked tools that will change the entire look of your PC — from the Start menu and taskbar (for which we actually wrote custom code specifically for this setup) to your wallpaper, widgets, browser, and even Discord. 🛠️ 1. Windhawk — Full Control Over Your Taskbar
Windhawk is a powerful tool that lets you inject custom behavior into Windows components like the taskbar. For this setup, we used Windhawk to:
- Add modern blur and transparency
- Customize taskbar hover effects
- Hide or restyle the notification area
- Apply anime-inspired glow and padding
🖼️ 2. Wallpaper – Wallpaper Engine & Free Alternative
We start the setup with a powerful visual core — the wallpaper.

📟 3. Rainmeter + JaxCore + Droptop — Interactive Widgets
Bring your desktop to life with stylish, animated widgets.
- Rainmeter: the base platform for custom desktop widgets
- JaxCore: an ecosystem that simplifies setup and adds themes + skins
- Droptop Four: a dynamic top bar with widgets, animations, and modules
We use Droptop and JaxCore to add things like:
- Anime-style music control
- Calendar and time
- CPU/GPU usage meters
- Custom hover effects and transitions
🌐 4. Browser Customization – Dreamy Anime Chrome Theme
Your browser deserves just as much love. We used:

This theme adds a soft, dreamlike aesthetic with anime visuals, custom new tab design, and pastel color palettes. It looks perfect alongside the rest of the setup.
💬 5. Discord — Styled with BetterDiscord + Not Another Anime Theme
No anime setup is complete without customizing Discord.
We used BetterDiscord to unlock full theming and plugin capabilities.
- Set custom background, fonts, and colors
- Activated transparency and minimal UI plugins
The result is a completely transformed Discord UI that matches your entire anime desktop aesthetic.
